Ariëns Diaconal award
In 2003 in the Archdiocese of Utrecht a diaconal price established, which bears the name of Alphons Ariëns. In the last century the priest of the Archdiocese showed a great commitment to working families facing poverty in Twente.
While work on the Ariensprijs to a diaconal project or activity. This is an activity aimed at: - Care and Mercy - Justice - Reconciliation and Forgiveness
The diaconal Price Ariëns two goals are pursued:
- The prize aims to stimulate attention and commitment to parish.
- The prize aims to stimulate initiatives in parish of the area which otherwise is not money.
The prize is awarded iedre Ariëns three years. The winner will receive € 1,000; the numbers two, three and four will each receive € 500. Each winner will also receive a work of art.
Every 3 years there will be a publication containing a portrait of the notified activities and projects that meet the criteria. Next will be in 2025 .

Rememberance and the In Memoriam Card
The mission Ariëns continues also reflects in the increased interest in his person and work. As Cardinal Simonis installed on May 9 this year, the ecclesiastical court investigating the "fama sanctitatis" Alphons Ariëns. This research is a necessary step towards beatification (see rkkerk.nl, p 251).
Also, the Ariëns Committee, which promotes interest in Ariëns, released a new prayer card of him, with a prayer by Mgr. De Kok. It is distributed in parishes where Ariëns and worked in the archdiocese.

The annual Ariëns speeches
The Committee intends annual Ariëns lectures promoting awareness around the person and work of the priest Alphons Ariëns. Each lecture is always some aspect of the life of Ariëns on the agenda, which will also be sought with Reading to any renewal of the insights on Ariëns. The series Lectures are a series of small booklets, which could lead to a new study on Ariëns in the future.
The tradition of a Ariëns Lecture was launched in May 2001, when Drs Hub Crijns, director of national office DISK in the Jannink Museum in Enschede spoke the lecture in 2001 on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the departure of chaplain Ariëns from Enschede.
